Today I listened to an interview with Suki Waterhouse on Emma Chamberlain’s podcast “anything goes.” I loved this interview so much, and it really got me inspired. Suki was an actress and model before releasing music, though she wrote it frequently, and she says she almost didn’t record her first album because of what people would “think” about her being multi-passionate. But when covid hit, she had a work break anyway and realized…none of what people think really matters. We are here to create and have fun!
This is SO true. I have also held myself back in the past, because of limiting beliefs I made up about what others would think. It’s funny because, in this example, I can’t even imagine a world without Suki Waterhouse’s music. Omg! I spent all morning playing Moves and Supersad on repeat, and she just released a whole new album I haven’t even listened to yet.
What if Suki Waterhouse had decided to not share her creativity because of self-imposed boxes?
Think of your art or ideas or words or projects or whatever you are passionate about like that, too. If you’re holding yourself back, think about your audience (they already exist) and who you are actually depriving of such great things <3
